We're ready for the 2025-2026 toy ruck season!

Get in touch with Tracy at mpsw.ruckcoordinator@gmail.com to schedule your unit.

What's a toy ruck?

We're so glad you asked!

A toy ruck is when a unit (usually during PT hours) signs up to donate toys to Santa's Workshop and Soldiers pack their rucks with toys, books and games suitable for 0-12 year old kids. The unit rucks to our workshop off Wallace St. In the past, units have invited families, encouraged festive clothing, and sung along to holiday music as they marched. Sometimes, entire battalions or brigades do one big ruck.

The bulk of our donations come from toy rucks, and each donation stays on Ft. Carson to serve Ft. Carson families.

What if my unit is deployed?

Thanks so much for thinking of MPSW while you're deployed!

We are offering a virtual toy ruck this year, on October 18, 2025. Drop our ruck coordinator a line to let us know your unit plans to participate. You can choose any way to "ruck" you'd like - maybe it's an actual ruck, maybe it's a unit run or maybe it's a bbq. Regardless, any toy donations can be made online through our wishlists: we have them on Amazon, Target and Walmart. Send us pictures to post to our social media.

The most festive unit will win bragging rights...and a MPSW swag bag.
