What's a toy ruck?

A toy ruck is when a unit—often during PT hours—signs up to donate toys to Santa’s Workshop. Soldiers fill their rucks with toys, books, and games for children ages 0–12, then ruck together to our workshop off Wallace Street. Over the years, units have made the experience even more special by inviting families, wearing festive attire, and singing along to holiday music as they march. In some cases, entire battalions or brigades participate in one large ruck.

Toy rucks provide the majority of our donations, and every contribution stays on Fort Carson to support Fort Carson families.
